Wow! I've been hoping to play this level for several years now, and now I want to even more!

Looks really, really awesome.  :)

And here's the last part of the playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3lr2ZqM3b2c&

The resolution should be a bit better on this part. Hope you enjoy it.  :)

OK. First part of my playthrough is posted here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HLG6MA9AbFA

This is my first attempt at making any sort of playthrough, so the result is far from perfect. Hopefully it can still be of some use.

Thanks again to SecretGlitch for such an amazing level.  :)

That was very hard - although I finally beat it. The trickiest part by far for me was getting the projectile creatures up on the central shelf. Thanks for making this level, I had fun playing it.  :)

I finally beat this epic level - although admittedly I took the easiest final path (I do plan to go back and try the harder paths at some point). I had to add extra saves points between challenges to reduce tedium, but I did manage to beat all the challenges on the path I took. I really like that the challenges often do not just require precision, but also some thinking ahead.  :)

I did record my progress. Because each challenge generally took a while, I only started recording my attempts on a screen once I felt I was close to completing the screen. Most challenges have about 1-2 minutes of attempts recorded before the successful attempt.

If I were to post this (to YouTube), would people prefer the inclusion of these failed attempts? Or should I just stitch together the successful attempts? (If failed attempts are included, I'm estimating the total video will be about 2 hrs long, but I could split that over several episodes). Also, the commentary is pretty fragmented since I start and stop recording every couple minutes – would recording new commentary on top make sense?

Any suggestions are appreciated – and thanks again for this amazing level!!  :)

Wonderful level! Playing this was extremely soothing!  :)

This was quite a level. Having played some of plural's previous levels, I was on the lookout for secrets and made (I thought) a thorough search. After finishing, I checked in the level editor and realized I missed most of the secrets. :) I'll have to go back and replay this one.

Like Plural's previous levels, this one has a compelling (if creepy) atmosphere. This is the most impressive level I've played in long time. Thanks for making it!

I've been using the up-draft object (object 5, bank 15 "Objects & Areas"). This object pushes Juni upwards when the umbrella is open.

Is it possible to modify this object, (or make a new object?), to make a down-draft? This hypothetical object pushes Juni downwards when the umbrella is open.

I'm working with the most recent version (as of July 9, 2015) of egomassive's Knytt Stories Plus.

Any suggestions are appreciated.  :)

Note: I tried this level on an older version of KS+ and it didn't work properly. It's working much better on the newest version of KS+!

Hopefully this will reduce confusion for others.

I quite enjoyed this level. I especially liked the catchy music and the interesting jumping challenges (for example, x996 y996 made me scratch my head for a while).

I do have a couple suggestions:
It wasn't always clear to me which way to go, and it was annoying to backtrack once I realized I didn't have the right powerup. (I ended up using God Mode to jump around the level because of this). Making it quickly obvious that a powerup is needed (like Nifflas does in The Machine) makes the level more fun.

Second, while the tilesets looked great, the environment had a feeling of sameness to it. Most really good Knytt Stories levels have a feeling of tension or mystery to them. Adding dialogue, story, and atmospheric sound can help. Also, for me, placing the setting of the level (largely) underground or inside makes everything feel a bit more surreal.

One last thing: I saw a winter version of much of the level (which was really neat!), but there didn't seem to be anything new in it. It would have been great fun to find a secret in some corner of the winter version of the level. Did I miss something?

Looking forward to your future levels!  :)

I replayed it - it was fun! Thanks for the update.

I had a random question, though:
At x1033y995, for Sign A, it says "RAWR!"
As far as I can tell, you didn't end up using that sign though.
If you don't mind, I'd be interested to hear what you were planning to do there.

Thanks again!

 :)

Perfect! Many thanks.

I'm using Nifflas' Simple Rooms tileset, and I can make some of the corners look nice, but not others. See the attached screenshot.

Is there some way to fix this easily? Or do I need to use a different tileset in order to avoid this problem?

Thanks!

I quite like that screenshot. It reminds me a bit of some parts from I Dreamed of the Sky, by Talps.

The teleporter idea reminds me of The Dying Core, by egomassive. Teleporting between different regions can result in abrupt changes, through, which can break immersion - something to watch out for.

I'm looking forward to playing your level! :)
