Forest
« on: June 04, 2010, 19:14:41 »
I am now working on new project, Forest. It may be large, medium, ... or environmental ... Below are the main tilesets, which are ended. I want to know your meaning, thanks a lot for your point of view.

I think theylook just fine. But you have lots of tiles left blank so why not add some fun stuff? I wanna see plants and more stem variations.

Looks passable except for that tree trunk.  I'd definitely go with a different texture on the second tileset's ground, though.

I promise, that other next tilesets will be better. These are my first. But that green tileset, there are trees (green "clouds")... And below, there are some illustration screenshots.

Later, I created new tileset. That strange square - shaped things are trees. There are flowers to (but they look like some psychedelic mushrooms). It is below, and there are some illustration screenshots.

It looks nice. It's a tad on the minimalistic side, though, and I personally would prefer more detail (for example, the "sky" looks like a patchwork quilt).

Here is the first serious level from these tilesets! Gradients are better.

Definitely like the minimalism... Very nice even though they're extremely simplistic.
Many a hand has scaled the grand old face of the plateau,
Some belong to strangers and some to folks you know,
Holy ghosts and talk show hosts are planted in the sand,
To beautify the foothills and shake the many hands.
