yeah but dropbox is dropbox so the file's gone. It only took about an hour to go through all the ogg files, since there are only 3,361 of them and you don't have to listen to a song for very long to identify whether it's the Leekspin song or not.

sure! I figured anyone who played it would remember it for the ievan polkka remix before anything else, but I remember lots of other stuff about it:
- it was pretty old (predates the forum crash, so it must have been before 2009; I know this because I distinctly remember making a post complaining about the music and it's not in my post history), but it was still many months after the game's release
- it was built around going back and forth across a horizontal line of rooms; no vertical room changes. You'd go to the right, then reach the "end" and get a powerup, and a shift would "replace" all the rooms with copies that had more enemies (but mostly identical layouts and visuals); then you had to go all the way to the left to get the next powerup, then right again, etc. until the end.
- I'm pretty sure it was in the Very Hard category. The later rooms had ridiculous numbers of meanies.

Maybe the character, in addition to swearing a lot in general, could be fixated on a specific swear word and use it all the time, even occasionally in contexts where you wouldn't expect to hear it. Then you could use that word in at least some cases where you'd want to use "fuck" and can't think of an appropriate substitute. I've met some real people with this quirk.

I'm not sure I wanna make words up, it works a bit better when spoken than written. Sod is a bit tricky, in a situation where a character gets totally upset and want to scream out "FUUUUUUUUUCK!!!" it's kinda hard with "sod".

You can't exactly scream it but "Son of a bitch!" is nearly as common as "Fuck!" as a generic expression of frustration.

Finding a program and learning how to use it is the easiest part of making music on a computer. It would be the easiest part of making music on anything else, too, except that it isn't actually a part of that.

If you're just looking for something free and easy to learn, that would probably be ModPlug Tracker. But don't expect to make anything that sounds good without some knowledge of music theory.

How is beneficialness largely irrelevant? It's what the administration is using as their reasoning for not including an off-topic section, and it's what I'm trying to prove.

My interpretation of the admins' statements is that general discussion does not belong on the forum. Sort of like putting a pinball machine in an art museum; it may draw more people to the museum, or it may distract people from the art, but either way it has nothing to do with the art museum.
Then again, this particular forum already has at least two pinball machines.

I meant tell us something you would post there. (If that applies to all the above, never mind.)

If you're going to argue that a general discussion board would not reduce forum activity, don't look at forums with general discussion boards compared to forums without general discussion boards; look at a forum before it introduces a general discussion board and compare it to the same forum after it introduces the board.

Note that I'm not against a general discussion board.
