How do you pronounce it?

I always thought it was Petradon.  X)

It think it's Pter-an-o-don, but I'm probably wrong on that.

I think it's pronounced "ter-on-o-don." The P is definitely silent.

This is the only possible answer. I don't get it why people think they know better.... Looks a bit like spamming to me.
