Unfortunately you're just stuck on a very difficult jump, one of hardest of the level. After getting the umbrella and saving, you'll need to first get a handle on timing the upper laser so that you can float past it. Once you generally know the timing of the jump, it's a matter of doing a gigantic jump to that spot sticking out of the roof. Go to the end of the ledge, and make sure to jump without the umbrella, then turn it on in midair to glide past the laser, and somewhere approximately at the end of the laser's path is when you both double jump and turn off your umbrella for maximum height. Be extremely careful navigating your way into the room's exit (don't fall and don't hit the spikes on the left) and then you've completed it.
