Solution...
EDIT: Wait.. I'll write a hint...
Hmm... take the nearby ones first.. ehm...
argh.. I don't know how to hint..
Those function puzzles are my favorite ones so far.
There is a hint in-game that IMO makes them a lot easier:
Did you check the PDA's solver info?
I did this puzzle without looking at that, so I don't know how much it would've helped, but take a look at it anyways.
I can't remember the solution myself. What I do remember is that
My function didn't have enough moves in one direction for a long time. At some point, I realized I needed to add an extra step to it at some point and I had to walk around a bit of a circle at the very beginning before using it so that I could save one move and use a function to pick up both blue things in the upper right at the end.
Edit: It seems my solution was different from Lightning Eagle's. Either that or I'm not remembering my own solution well.
I used a totally different one! :P
Main: < ^ > > v v v v FUNC FUNC
Func: > ^ ^ ^ ^ >
I completely forgot the hint system! xD
When I began playing I found that on the menu, but then I totally ignored it... :S
And there are some puzzles which took me quite a while to figure out... How come I never remembered using that? xD
The programing puzzles were also some my favorites, if not THE favorites. :)
Overall I think that gameplay-wise that is the stellar system I like the most. Nyquist-Meyer has the best puzzles and Gass Umbra the best platforming sections. =D
Requesting a guide for the heart shape puzzle.
Thanks.
A semi-spoilery hint: Did you know you can use your PDA's "device solver" to find the entire correct function for all of the puzzles on that planet?
Knowing this makes things a lot easier.
