Title: Ideas for The most useful tileset
Post by: Denis on February 17, 2012, 13:49:07
I started creating the most useful tileset a few days before. It already includes grass, snow, iron, wooden and ice blocks, a sign, a door (for shifts), spikes and a small ice statue (see attachment). However it's not even half-full. Do you have any ideas or comments? Post them here.

In your tileset, you have the objects only.
You could add some ground tiles and background tiles.

I believe the point is to be used with another tileset that already has those things.

Though I doubt I'll use this tileset, I'd like to suggest the following items: chairs, open and closed treasure chests, various doors...

You have an ice statue, but what would really be nice are some stone statues, too. That and different kinds/colors of doors would be my suggestion.

I want to know when this tileset is finished! I could have used such a tileset many times in my levels.

Maybe some cottage, tent or just some shelter.

I don't think you need to have different versions of the same door, just leave the grass/snow in a separate tile and we can just overlap them in different layers. That way, all the doors can have 3 versions and you save a some space.
