Hehe. The figure is actually added to please those who seek a challenge once in a while. Its a secret and its not necessary to complete the game. Basically, so you always have something to go for in the game.

Absolutely!  Because the rest of the game isn't challenging at all.  (/sarcasm)

I do find the frustration level of the Figure to be a bit much.  The Mini-Figure wasn't such a problem.  What truly vexes me about the Figure is that passing a challenge doesn't generally help.  If you fail at a challenge, you go back three challenges to the last save point, and get to repeat the obnoxiousness you'd already put behind you.

That said, the only purpose to the Figure is itself - there's no special areas accessible only from it that would be particularly nice to see except the Figure itself.  (/sarcasm)  Returning to the truth, there is something accessible only from the Figure that isn't the Figure itself, and that's the only reason I ever attempt the Figure.

Here's hoping an editor also comes out for PS.  Unfortunately, I find that very unlikely.

There's actually a secret room in the game that shows the map of the disorder ;)

This map is infinitely more useful, especially for noting where it links to realspace.  Good one on you, Riamu - I'm liking this.

I did finally finish it,
, and overall managed to get a good experience.  There's still some things left.  I do want to
Spoiler: find stuff (click to show/hide)
, but overall I'm quite happy with it.  I'll likely pick it up from time to time just to see stuff.

If there are updates, I'd love to see them.

Nice!  It's always entertaining to watch other people's playthroughs.

Although I always end up going "NO, DO THIS, I DIDN'T DO THAT AND I WANT TO SEE WHAT IT DOES!"

The in-game map has 48x30 rooms.  Nifflas has assured us that every one of them is full - there are no "empty blocks."

I may be an outlier, but I enjoy the cobbling approach to plot in KU.  It follows the way you often discover things in reality - bits and pieces, not always in order.  It also creates a very different kind of puzzle to solve, and due to my peculiarities the mental puzzle is much more of the game to me than the physical one.

I take it back :P
Having just finished chapter 3, I do like the tie in.

Sorry to prematurely judge and all..

I wouldn't call it "premature."  While, yes, in the fullness of the game you see a payoff, you do have to go through it as a gateway to the rest of the game, so it bears looking at even on its own.

For me, they weren't such an issue.  I don't know if I should put this behind spoilers, but for the sake of sating my OCD,

I sincerely doubt Nifflas would put something so tempestuous, vast, and oblique as the Disorder without putting something there you can't get to but from there.  I mean something other than scenery, which obviously is there as well.

Then again...

Knytt Underground / Re: This game requires quick reflexes, doesn't it?

Personally, I'm more of a story person than a reflex person.  My hands get a little shaky whenever my blood sugar is even a little bit off, but more importantly I love finding out more about the setting.

Edit by Miss Paula: fixed spoiler tag. it's a singular. ;)
