After failing the ambitious Knytt Experiment, Nifflas started working on the third Knytt game.
He made a minimalistic tileset, some peculiar objects more reminiscent of the first Knytt (such as animated vegetation), and a new Knytt character, similar to Juni, but taller.
Unfortunately (relatively speaking), while working on this new Knytt 3, Nifflas started developing NightSky, and abandoned this project.
He decided to use the sprites to make a really tiny minigame he would then release alongside another game, and a collection of Sara Sandberg's misc concept art.
All three of them had something in common...
They were extremely small, even their window.
Knytt Nano was born.

Have you ever wondered what Knytt Nano would look like, if you could see "the whole screen" at once?
Well... This (https://knyttlevels.com/levels/Lit%20Knob%20-%20Knytt%20Nano%20v2.knytt.bin) is the answer.
I recreated Knytt Nano by using the tilesets, gradients, and custom objects (https://nifflas.lp1.nl/index.php?topic=7356.0) I made after extracting the original assets.
V2: Extended three small overhangs by half a tile to remove confusing no-climb tiles
Even though this might look like it is my first level, it's actually the third one (and the first two are still unfinished).
If you know about Knytt Nano, you can easily assume why "posting screenshots" wouldn't be a very bright idea in this case. :P
Thanks to Lucinda and Polana for inspiring me to make this level.
I was (and still am) planning to make a Knytt Nano tribute at some point, but not as small and faithful as this.
Single Pass sometimes fails.
