Title: [Large-Normal- Enviromental/Playground] Caverns + Caverns 2

Caverns is an underground adventure!
at the start you an go left or right to a short area where you get powerups, but from there its an open world to run free! its mostly normal, but there are some difficult parts...

Caverns was released a couple years ago but Ive decided to release it again with Caverns 2. Caverns 2 is nearly finished but its been so long since I last used the level editor Ive forgotten how to edit... I don't think I ever will finish it but I would hate to see it never released so here it is!

In Caverns 2 the world is finished, but I was in the middle of converting a copy of that into the alternate dimension that you could travel across to. I never finished making the alternate dimension and I never connected the two. If you do want to have a look you can access it in the level editor.
I hope you enjoy both caverns and and caverns 2  C)

Some nice looking stuff here.  *downloads*  Thanks for releasing it unfinished so we can at least get a taste of it.

Have you tried ks+ and editor by egomassive yet?  Not only has it more functions, but it is easier to use than the original editor.  

Edit:  Hmm... actually, mediafire doesn't seem to like me.  It keeps reloading the page instead of starting the download.  Why not use knyttlevels.com?

Knyttlevels.com doesn't work for me, my levels wont upload despite being well under the size limit...  :ohnoes:

I can put up a mirror if you want, what file-hosting service would you suggest?

it seems like knyttlevels has always been slightly flaky from time to time, but it always works in the end.  Thanks for your efforts.  XD

Some sceneries are really stunning, some are not. Sometimes there are too violent changes between them.
It's pity that it won't be finished but what can we do ?
How could you forget how to use KSLE ? It does not make sense to me...

However, sometimes I forget how to make shifts (luckily I remember where are my notes).

I remember this level 'Caverns'. It had brought me a lot of good time, though I never finished it, maybe I'm lost.

Caverns 2 seems nice, the same randomness, I like most of it. However, some screens give an impression of unfinished. I feel that Caverns is neater than its sequel. Perhaps amend the tiles of some disordered places, and fix some bugs, the level will be better!

Been playing Caverns 2.  There is a lot of great potential in this.  I like your puzzle with the big faces. 

However, there is a lot of errors too, and areas that just seem unfinished.  One problem is the boulder section.  Without a black outline, or some other way to distinguish them from background objects, they don't play well.  There also seems to be an unfinished area.  I fell through the floor at x1014y1003.  Was I even suppose to be able to get there?  There is also a wall swim due to misalignment of the ground at... well, I can't find it. 

My biggest problem is that there is not enough of a story to keep me interested in what is happening.  I don't know why I'm there, who the people around me are, or why I should care. 

But, it is still impressive you did as much as you did.  This just needs polish.

As said in the First post Caverns 2 is not a finished product. It's a project that Bunnrey said would probably never be finished, but I asked them to release it with Caverns because I wanted to see it. The reason Caverns 2 seems unpolished is because it is.

I really just wanted to see the environments because Bunnrey comes up with really unique and pretty ones that are fun to explore. I'm not done with the level but so far my favorites are the crystal grotto, pink grotto and underwater areas. I think thats the best transition to underwater I've seen in a level, I was honestly very surprised and delighted!  :^^:

Sad to hear Caverns 2 won't be finished, but glad it got released. Caverns 1 was so much fun!

Ok, right, sorry.  There was at least a week between downloading and playing and I forgot what was said in the first post.  :oops:

Edit: by the way, I thought the title screen was exceptional.

Soo... you said knytlevels is working for caverns now... would you mind posting a link for it?  I still can't get the mediafire link for Caverns 1 to work.  :/

Caverns still isn't posted on knyttlevels, only the sequel was. For now, you can give this (https://www.box.com/s/ma2rtro0yxh6jnkmsd0k) link a go. I just downloaded from mediafire and uploaded to box.com so I could be sure it was the right file.
