Knytt Underground / Re: Knytt Underground is out!
« on: December 27, 2012, 03:19:43 »
Oooooh, can't wait to get this!  Since i'm in the nonprofit field, I've been hit pretty hard.  Pretty sure this is the first time in a while I haven't taken a day off to play the new Nifflas game!  Loved when Saira and Nightsky came out and trying to figure out the secrets with everyone!

Still, I'll get to it eventually.  I've seen some indie games lately that'll offer free Steam codes when/if it hits Steam if you've already bought another download (i.e. formspring).  Any plans for/against this?

How about the idea that there's another knytt/wadf causing trouble in a town or with npcs, with the idea being it's a throwback at the beginning, due to something like a time distortion or imposter, where you had to complete another task.  Such as picking flowers or moving stuff around on the 1st quest, but later on you're tasked with fixing this problem because it keeps happening to the townspeople over and over again.

Asking for help

If I remember correctly, you don't actually get any of the coins going straight through the tutorial.  The one you are missing is from a door in:

Has anyone else gotten all 25 coins yet or am I one of the first?  Nifflas days are special and I tend to tear through the game as quick as I can... I was the first to find some of the weirder stuff in Saira, but besides the paths you take to get all the coins, haven't noticed any easter eggs.... yet.  I'd feel really dumb making a 100% guide or secrets post before the game is even officially out.

Once again though, wonderful game!  The physics for the blocks did feel like they needed to be polished up a tiny bit... and this game was even shorter (and had much more backtracking to 100%) than Saira.  I know that it's a puzzle game but I would have loved to see some more action-oriented enemies and maybe a life system ala SMB2 for when the community makes their own levels.  However, I'm looking forward to screwing around with the game to see what I can do.  Thanks again for an awesome release.  :D

Does anyone know what the future of this game holds?  I think I remember mention of him working with Nicalis for a console version but who knows...

Are there going to be more official episodes?  Will they be free or will we have to buy them?

Alright, final thing I looked into, regarding a song on the radio.  Decided I'd finally start using the Spoiler tag, although in this case I doubt there's a spoiler here!

Today Nifflas also posted some

in the editor forum.  Thought I'd document them here for archival purposes or whatever when other people finally start beating this game:

Yeah, I got to that other secret on Dragon Noir that you posted PONTO, but didn't want to post it until I had more time to look into it to see if it referenced anything  X)

I really wish I didn't have finals next week or I'd spend the weekend tearing apart this game.  I'm not one of those people who normally does that it games, but there's definitely something special about a Nifflas release.

Saira / Secrets (Obvious Spoilers Ahoy!)
« on: December 12, 2009, 12:57:50 »
I just posted a "beat it" thread but didn't want to delve into any potential secret spoilers there.

Not that I've really found anything secret yet... however, if you manage to make it all the way up left via jetting on "Dragon Noir" There is this thing here.  I don't remember if it had anything to do with a puzzle.  Anyone remember?

Also, anyone catch any WADF/Knytt references?  Obviously there's the big one in one of the endings (don't remember the combination of parts offhand) but anyone notice anything else?  I swear a couple of the animals looked familiar.  I also wonder if we'll see "bird game"  :P2

Likewise, was trying to figure out what was marked on these plyers... I see an N and S so it's probably Nifflas or Nicklas.

Saira / Anyone else beat it yet?

Wasn't planning on picking it up this weekend and playing through it in one go... but couldn't resist a Nifflas game!

Overall, loved it... wished there was more platforming though versus the puzzle terminals though!  Some I loved, others I would have rather skipped.  I cannot wait for more episodes and user generated content.

Anyone find any secrets yet?  I think I found a hidden area but I couldn't figure it out in the end... might look tomorrow

Saira / Re: How to obtain the full version of Saira for free
« on: December 10, 2009, 02:19:54 »
Wow, can't believe this is coming down the stretch!  I still remember when WADF came out.

I was wondering, did you need any help finding and compiling contact information for game/media sites to send the press release to, or do you have that all figured out?
