Every time i try to use the level editor, i can only use one tileset because the tiles change with it, so i cant make levels. It makes my want to smash my computer into the wall. Is this just a problem with mine, or am i doing something wrong?

You can only use up to two tilesets per screen. To select either click the Tileset A or Tileset B buttons.
-
you should be able to make a screen with only one or two tilesets...they're designed that way.

I think he means instead of switching tilesets, he changed the current tileset, thereby changing the tiles.

i knew that, i just was pointing out that most of the time 2 tilesets are enough, sometimes even only 1.

Transition screens and tileset mixes make the level way better, though.

Depends on the nature of the tileset and level, certainly. For yet another default-tilesets-and-music run-around-collecting-powerups, yes, you will probably want to use more than one tileset, and you will probably want to have some form of transition between the tilesets. And you may very well want to mix several tilesets together.

Usually, 2 tilesets is enough for me, but it would really help to be able to use more than 2 per screen... maybe KSA could implement that idea as well?

I remember from the old forum that two tilesets is significant for the binary compression. If you're going to have three you should have four.

Right.

You need to make more then 1 screen if you want to use multiple tilsets. In the bottom-left corner you should see a grid. One of the squares is a lighter color then the rest. Light colored squares mean that something is on that screen. Click on a dark color square to make a new screen. you can use another tileset now.

I meant on one screen, not for the whole level... I do know how to use the editor... and you can use only two tilesets on any one screen.

I was talking to kitty_the_thrid, not you. It seems the problem kitty was having was that the tiles changed when the tilesets were switched.

I don't think this problem ever strayed from one screen.
