Development Showcase / [Album] DeepWarmth - Nature
« on: January 04, 2014, 00:09:30 »
For those of you who are long time visitors of the forum, you might remember that I make music. Late last year, I got my first physical release on Cd over at Entropy Records called Nature. Five long tracks of Ambient Techno/Drone Techno to chill with. Layers of sounds create something I'm pretty proud of and this is also out digitally. So if you want something to get lost in, or just to relax with, I think Nature can fit the bill pretty well. I link to the bandcamp page where you can hear the entire album and has a link where to buy it.

Development Showcase / My unused Knytt Underground Music
« on: January 05, 2013, 23:40:14 »
Some of the forum members here might remember that I make electronic music in my spare time. Well I was honored when Nifflas wanted to have some music from me for Knytt Underground, but the stuff I made ended up not being used. Mostly I think it clashed a little bit with the music that made it into the game. But I have his permission to share, so I thought you guys might like to hear what might have made it into the game. There's a total of 5 tunes included. https://soundcloud.com/lilmanjs/sets/knytt-underground-rejects

Pre-release topics / Gamescom Coverage
« on: August 28, 2012, 00:38:20 »
Thought it would be nice to start a thread that people could contribute to for news coming from the recent gamescom. So far I've found an interview that includes a couple other people, but does have a lot of nice info on Knytt Underground from Nifflas.

translating the website via google translate or something similar is a must as its not in english. If anyone has found more stuff about the game from gamescom please share!

Collaborations / Knytt Stories Project (AUA2)
« on: July 09, 2012, 00:41:50 »
Now I don't know how many are still around from way back when An Underwater Adventure 2 was being worked on, but its not a dead project anymore. Bloxmaster and I want to reboot the project and are asking for some help. that means help with making the level design itself, and graphics work as well. We might keep some stuff made for it already, but most likely most of it will be brand new stuff. As it goes, we want to have a system where as one person works on an area another person is making a tileset for use with the next area. If you'd like to take part in making An Underwater Adventure 2 really get finished this time, please reply!

Other Free Games / [puzzle/shoot em' up] Holy Hell
« on: November 28, 2011, 23:18:10 »
I'm posting about a little game somebody over on another forum I go on made called Holy Hell. Its a Gameboy Advanced game that is a homebrew game. The game itself mixes up 2 types of games in that it is a Shmup or Shoot em' up and a Puzzle game. You have small little levels you have to get through where you must shoot blocks of the same color to get them to go away. you also have to be pretty quick at times because most levels feature both colors and you must switch between them to blow them up. Having the game is not illegal as the guy who made it was going to sell it, but has instead released it for free. links are provided for the game itself and the emulator(which is also free).

Collaborations / Banner Help Wanted
« on: March 27, 2010, 23:02:11 »
as most of you guys here know, I run a small netlabel with a few others. We are in need of some banners and if anyone is willing to make a banner or 2 please send me a PM. The banner(s) are supposed to be able to be put on other sites. also nothing bigger than 300x80 so that it doesn't take up most of other people's sites and as for colors, it should be something that follows what the logo of the label follows.

to get a feel for what we currently have:

Development Showcase / [Song] Walking After Midnight
« on: March 16, 2010, 23:15:08 »
created a simple song last night that uses a jazzy dub bass, a rhodes sample, some spacey stuff and some somewhat crazy drums. I really think it all fits together.

« on: January 31, 2010, 21:58:21 »
thought since this is really soothing and people seem to be liking it so far that I'd post about it here. my most minimal song in that it only has a pad and 1 key sound.
