Does the classification even matter? It's a preview, guys.I dunno. I'm not a mod. ;)
I posted this with Environmental/Maze because, guess what? That's what it is. I'm not in the mood to discuss this, because, honestly, that rule never made sense. I'm not really happy with that rule, because I think the level falls perfectly into the categories I labelled it as, and I don't intend to change it. So while it can be said that I'm not following the 'rules', some rules are meant to be broken, and this is one of them. It makes no sense at all why 'environmental levels cannot be something else'. Because it is part of a maze makes it no longer environmental? That's really dumb and I don't mind saying so. So, I'm sorry to have to butcher my own topic for this, and I know it's going to turn into a lot of critical feedback, but the tags are correct, despite any rules.Actually, I agree with this. I just said that because I wasn't a mod and had no place to say anything. But now, I will. I think an environmental level can be anything else BUT environmental/challenge.
EDIT: After feedback on the background from several people, I think I might try to change it a bit. I do want to thank everyone tho, for commenting on the screens themselves. :)

I'm saying this because a lot of people say their level is an environmental just because it "looks good" even if it doesn't. In my eyes, an environmental is a level that may have a few tricks, but it's mostly just about it looking good. We should stop this now before we start an argument.Actually, I agree with this. Why not? Environmental means that a lot of effort has gone into making the level look great, and that's one of the things the author has concentrated on while making the level.
I also find that Maze/TrickJump is a stranger concept than Environmental/Challenge, A Challenge can still be a challenge even if the level looks great, and a level doesn't lose in graphical quality because there's challenge to it.
Also, if people don't like the idea of having challenges, puzzles or mazes in their environmental levels, they should only download pure environmental.
And for those who think that an environmental level REALLY can't be anything else... then just pretend that the environmental tag isn't there when it's coupled with another. So for you guys, Blox's level is just a maze.
This is a level I have started, it is called The Ancient Lands.
Those screens really hurt my eyes. Maybe there is too much contrast? It's probably something on your computer; the screens don't hurt my eyes at all. O_o
I'm relentlessly fooling around with my monitor's color and brightness settings trying to find one that makes those screens not look good, but I can't find anything. This is true.
<tease>To bad you'll probably never complete this </tease>That should only be posted in relation to my projects. :V

Nice post, I like the attitude. :)A mod disagreeing with a rule? What is this world coming to (besides an end)?!
Never agreed with that rule either.
And your level is really looking great. I mean REALLY. :D
Why is there a small white cross in that first screen? Is the protagonist Christian?
Oh. heheh. Why is there a small white cross in that first screen? Is the protagonist Christian?
I'm pretty sure that's one of those firefly objects.
The first screen there is really really dark, and my contrast dislikes me. :I

Promising levels are good. This is a promising level.
If I reach that area, I'm going to have to majorly amp up the brightness on my computer. The brightness on mine is as high as it goes, and it still looks dark and hard to see.
This does look really good - the tilesets are excellent - particularly the cave / dark grass ones.
Now this is just my opinion, but I don't particularly want to use a modded version of KS. At least until the mod is in a final, complete stage. I've messed up several plays through Morrowind and Oblivion that way and with KS, its one of the few games I play that still feels 'clean' (I regularly dispose of inadequate levels). Of course, as Ponto said, if it REQUIRES the mod, so be it - it just means I'll have to succumb or just miss out. But if there's still an option, I'd vote either both mod and un-modded versions or just for vanilla KS.
KS doesn't need to be installed. It comes in a zip file. And the old "installer" wasn't really installing anything either. It just unpacked the files.
Kasran, it's hard to say exactly how far I am. It's only because I don't know how big I want it to be. But I can say, that after a long standstill; this level has been put back on track, and it's going smoothly. :)
And as per the usual, more screens! Note that the second one is still being tweaked.Spoiler: Screenies (click to show/hide)
Amazing screenies. You mean it wasn't already?
This is really shaping up to be something I really want to play. :)

Did you make all the tilesets for this?
I plan to have all custom content... As usual, like all of my levels, it will feature my own tilesets.
