I threw something together (https://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/node/10724) in two days for Knytt of the Month Klub #11 (https://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/node/10718), but it's been updated since then. It now has 13 rooms and three secret rooms. (one of which contains a toast fact! sort of!)
Obviously, it's not very extensive or high quality, but it feels good to just get something out without spending months of refining and procrasinating over it. I credited it as ncrecc because that's what I go by on Glorious Trainwrecks.

1.2:
* Secret animals don't walk on air anymore (thanks, ego!)
* Added some river ambiance (thanks, SC!)
* The main theme and the secret theme are now ambiance tracks, so they'll loop properly (thanks, SC, even though this probably isn't what you meant at all!)
1.1:
* Fixed a SGE (thanks, ego and Silas!)
* Sequence breaking should be impossible now (thanks, Silas!)
* Added a secret passage back to the lower area (thanks, sergio, ego, and Silas!)
* Added another secret room
* Expanded on secret village
* Slapped on an icon
VERSION 1.0: Download it from Knyttlevels (http://knyttlevels.com/levels/ncrecc%20-%20Trail.knytt.bin) or straight from Glorious Trainwrecks (https://www.glorioustrainwrecks.com/files/ncrecc%20-%20Trail.knytt.bin)
VERSION 1.1: Download it from Knyttlevels (http://knyttlevels.com/levels/ncrecc%20-%20Trail%20update.knytt.bin), for real this time!
VERSION 1.2: Download it from Knyttlevels (http://knyttlevels.com/levels/ncrecc%20-%20Trail%20update%202.knytt.bin)
Both versions require egomassive's Knytt Stories Plus (https://nifflas.lpchip.nl/index.php?topic=4175.0).
There were some really nice room designs here. I particularly liked how multi-purpose x999y998 is, and really enjoyed the blue key challenge.
Isn't it impossible to get back past those red and yellow exploding sentinel things after getting the detector? I think you can only actually reach the secret room without it!
Your use of default tilesets here is superb. The rooms are so pretty and cohesive, it's hard to believe these are the same graphics I've been seeing since the dawn of Knytt Stories. The challenges were good too. *gives star*
I agree with Sergio. If there's a way to get to that secret room after getting the detector, I couldn't find it. I was sure there'd be a secret passage in the vicinity of the red key that would allow me to re-enter the bottom of the map.
Also, there's a slight graphical error in the ceiling on screen x999y999.
That was a fun short adventure. As ego already said, you made good use of the default tilesets here :D The challenges were pretty nice, although...
...I had a bit of a rough start with screen x999y999, which I think is a tad too tricky for the beginning of a Normal difficulty level. It took me quite a few tries to climb back up after collecting the key. Then again, maybe there was an easier way of doing this that I just didn't see and I ended up making things needlessly hard as a result :P
I also think that the "Environmental" tag doesn't accurately describe this level, though, since it seems to be more focused in challenges than in the free-roaming and visual aspects. I do support the use of the "Environmental/Challenge" combo for tagging levels that only feature low-difficulty platforming challenges (no enemies, traps, etc), but I believe "Challenge" or maybe "Challenge/Scenic" would be more appropriate in this particular case. This is just my opinion, though.
Good work!
