Other Free Games / Re: [strategy/action] Steel Sentinels
« on: November 14, 2009, 23:31:56 »
Long time no see :D. I'm actually a member of Funorb as it happens, so I get all the awesome, overpowered monstrosities (I have the one on the front page, the one that blasts the Slave, it's called the Valhalla.) I usually play standard games though because I'm a prick, >) I'll post up my two most favourite mechs here...

Chassis: Turtle-I21B
Minotaur Head
Ordnance Mounting

Weapons:
Dual Howitzers (like mortar, but A LOT more dangerous)
Dual Miniguns
Dual Heavy Rockets

Modules:
Scanner
Repair System
Reinforced Armour
Reactive Armour

Tech Value: 6100

Very tough, can stand alot of punishment with full armour and 1200KPM. Howitzers are extremely powerful, and two of them are downright nasty. It's repair system also allows it to regenerate. My favourite mech.

Chassis: Slave-MLVK-V4
Predator Head
Armoured Arm
Heavy Mounting

Weapons:
Triple Gauss Guns
Dual Plasma Cannon (not spray, 500 damage per shot )
Rifled Sniper Cannon

Modules:
Ring Capacitator
Scanner
Coolant Array

Tech Value: 4875

Incredibly strong, only one unit of energy per shot, and it can kill a standard Slave in two shots. Not much in the way of armour, it is quite vulnerable to artillery, even with the sniper cannon.

Oh yeah, I've also beaten both the non member AND member campains. I'm not on the nifflas forum all that much, but I'll give my advice to anone who needs it.

I tried it, but it requires to much guesswork from what I've seen to far, (can't even get past room 5 , I've looked at the editor and everything lol ) room 4 just requires you to guess that you can walk through the wall there, and room 5 is somewhat irritating as well, not helped by the hints that usually just tell you to go left, which I've kind off already gathered.

Nice level, I liked the tileset and CO's alot, and the music was strangely fitting. I did get a bit confused at the point where you had to press D to get the umbrella out despite the fact that you didn't have it (a flag or something I'm guessing?) yet, but it was still fun all the same. This level brings back memories of the third level from the very first ever Sonic game, similar idea.

Knytt Stories Level Releases / Re: [environmental][easy] Oil
« on: July 22, 2009, 12:21:06 »
Loved it. Amazing use of CO's, for some reason I absolutely loved the switches?...Anyway, I guess I should mention something that you could improve on, but I honestly can't think of anything lol, you're obvioudly alot better at this than I am. ;) I also liked how you have to walk, makes you notice the scenery rather than how much longer it's going to take you to get to the other side of the screen. X-P

Finsihed it, very nice level (and tileset to.) I didn't have to have any help except with getting to the blue door... >) Not to short, but not to long either, very nice length, it was a little bit unclear what you had to do at some points, but this is an exploring level is it not? :^^:

I played through the normal version, (felt more towards hard in my opinion) a fun level, (that bit when you had to backtrack after getting the eye made me swear several times X)) the graphics in some areas could have been a little better, but that didn't really matter so much.

Overall I still liked it quite alot, I'll probably updates this post when I get around to trying the very hard version (god spare me .)

7
That's actually a pretty cool idea, Ii'm not using the crystals in this one like I did in the last one, so that may work quite well... 8)

8
Sorry about the ending, I just wanted to have a go at fiddeling around with the dynamite and darkness effects mainly. :/

I'm working on another level (very big with a storyline) that has some similar jumping in it, so it's good to know it's not driving everyone crazy. X)

9
I know, but I'm planning on putting an area like that in all my levels (don't ask me why :S) just for a sort of constant joke if you would. C)

10
Okay, I think I've fixed it now, should work fine.

11
Hmm, that's odd, it worked when I tested it... (Ugh this again X)) I'll try to fix it.

12
Hmm, I should have gotten KSA when I played it, but I really liked the new version. The monsters walk straight of the edge, but that's yet another reason to play it on KSA... :/

Releasing a purely environmental version of it might not be such a bad idea really, it was sort of designed as an environmental, so it would be kinda cool to see a version with no monsters at all, it'd be really fun to play through. C)

13
I've put up an improved version of the level, just fixed some of the things I wish I had done before I posted it the first time. :moody:

14
Lol, the irony.  ;)

15
Oopsies, that was where the secret area was supposed to be , must had forgotten to add it before I submitted the level... Oh well, no really big deal I guess
